White Card – Construction Induction (CPCCWHS1001)

 

This unit of competency specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work.

 

The unit requires the person to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The learning outcomes that relate to this unit of competency are:

1. Identify health and safety legislative requirements of construction work.

2. Identify construction hazards and risk control measures.

3. Identify health and safety communication and reporting processes.

4. Identify incident and emergency response procedures.

 

To work on a building site in Australia it is a requirement to hold a current WHS General Induction White Card. The “White Card” is valid for use on all construction sites in Australia.
